To uphold your product guarantee it is imperative you read and abide by the manufacturers installation instructions. If the flooring is installated incorrectly you will void any warranty that comes with the flooring.

There are always a few key points to look out for.

Acclimitastion - Leaving the flooring for a few days in the room it will be installed in to let it get used to the conditions.

Expansion Gap - Leaving sufficent expansion gap so that if the flooring expands or contracts this will not warp or put pressure on the boards.

Moisture, Humidity & Temperature - Laminate Flooring needs certain conditions to ensure its longevity, always check that moisture, humidity and temperature levels are within tolerance.

Laminate Flooring Installation Top Tips

1. Get a laminate flooring installation kit!
2. Purchase a tenson saw or multi-tool to undercut doorways.
3. Mix up the packs, Always work from 2 - 3 at a time to avoid pattern repeats.
4. Use the cuts from the ends to start a new row, this reduces waste, ensure they are more than 200mm from any joint.
5. Plan where you planks will fall, you don't want to get to the wall and need to cut 10mm of laminate flooring.
Laminate Flooring Dont's

1. Use the correct underlay, Don't use an old carpet or carpet underlay. 

2. Don't install the laminate flooring on to a newley screeded floor unless dry enough to install on.

3. Don't install the laminate flooring in a brick bond formation. This weakens the floor and effects the floors stability.

4. Don't fix anything on top of the laminate flooring. Laminate is designed to float so that it can expand and contract.
